At dawn twenty scholars made their eager way,
To seek in Shakespeare’s world both thought and art;
They learned how words still shape our lives today,
And how they speak of family and heart.
They asked what place was given unto wives,
How women moved within the poet’s age;
They weighed old customs against modern lives,
And brought such questions boldly to the stage.
They penned new verses in the master’s vein,
And acted scenes with laughter, voice, and cheer;
Good food and company eased every strain,
Though home they journeyed late, their minds were clear.
Their teachers smiled to see such spirits prove
That learning thrives where curiosity moves.
